Keep 90% of every commission. Flat, from day one.
Pirate fits best if you sell cruises in the United States and want AI quoting, a CRM and host accreditation in one $405 annual subscription, with a flat 90/10 split. Another host agency may fit better if you sell mostly land tours or flights, work outside the United States, or want in-person training and a large brand network. Compare the numbers on our host agency comparison pages before you choose.
The typical hosted advisor stacks two subscriptions to do one job: book travel. A host agency at $79/mo (plus $495 to start) for accreditation and supplier access. A separate CRM like Tern or TravelJoy at $39/mo to manage clients, trips, and intake forms. Two bills for tools that should already work together.
On top of that, your host takes 20 to 30% of every commission. And on every quote, you're calling clients for a 30-minute credit card authorization before they can even book.
Two subscriptions. One job. And a commission split that punishes you for using them.
Pirate replaces the whole stack with one $405/year subscription:

Pricing as of October 2026, sourced from each provider's public pricing page. Net figures assume a 12% blended commission rate (industry mid-range across mass-market and premium lines) and ongoing-year subscription totals; the $79/mo host model includes an additional $495 setup fee. CRMs (Tern, TravelJoy) shown at annual-billing pricing. The lower-fee host model is shown at $46/mo. The commission-share host model is shown at its entry commission-share tier; no flat subscription. Franchise-model brokerages (e.g., Cruise Planners, Dream Vacations) follow a different cost structure and are out of scope. The interactive calculator uses these same assumptions; your own commission rate, host tier, or CRM bundle may differ. * The $79/mo host model commission split is undisclosed publicly; ~75% reflects the industry-typical range for hosted advisors before productivity bonuses. † The lower-fee host model commission is productivity-tiered, starting at 80% and scaling to 95%. ‡ The commission-share host model is tiered (70% → 80%) as your annual commission climbs; we show the entry tier. The Pirate row uses a flat 90/10 split.
